If you are a rock guitar player, depending on how far you have gotten in your learning of the guitar, you have either completed lessons on power chords or you are going to get your lesson in them in the near future. However, what you may not know is that power chords for guitar are the source of some controversy. The reason is that some guitar purist do not accept that a power chord is actually a chord. The conventional wisdom has been in order for a chord to be considered a chord it must contain 3 or more notes. A power chord usually only has two notes but sometimes it has three.
