"Strangers"

Yesterday there was a post by a writer for The Stranger on their Slog. The article is a brief piece on the situation concerning our windows.

Although it is true that we've been joking around when asked what happened, it's nothing to take serious. It's pretty obvious what happened, and though we appreciate all of the support, it gets a little tiresome when 50 people a day question the status of your windows.



As far as the writer saying that we are "rattled", I don't know that it's the right word to describe our feelings towards the windows. Don't get me wrong, we are concerned. Anytime you have a rock thrown through your window there's reason for concern, but it isn't anything that any of our customers and supporters should be worried about. We're still open for business monday-sunday and you can still stop through to get at us at anytime.

If you read the article there are a handful of negative comments towards the bottom of the page. For those who made their comments, none of us are thugs or gang members. None of us sell drugs, nor do we rob or kill. We see hip hop and street wear as an art form that we live and breathe. In no way are we contributing to any violence, vandalism, or any other reckless acts that take place on Capitol Hill. I believe that goes for all of the boutiques in our area.

Keep your ear to the streets, not the press.
